David Nevin

Consultant, APAC

David Nevin is a consultant, executive coach, and training facilitator responsible for providing professional consulting, coaching and training in the Asia Pacific region. He brings to Exec-Comm more than fifteen years of experience developing executives across many industries. He has designed and delivered global leadership and intercultural communication skills workshops throughout Asia.

David’s background is in international conflict management. He has worked on projects focused on managing disputes in many diverse situations. His roles included facilitating difficult negotiations with conflict stakeholders and handling communication with sponsoring organizations and media outlets. He has worked on UN-affiliated projects in East and Southeast Asia aimed at managing ocean/island jurisdictional disputes. He is also an IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator

Throughout David’s life, he has worked and lived in Canada, Switzerland, Thailand, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and Japan, where he's lived since 1996. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Economics and a Graduate degree in Computer-Based Information Systems. He is an ambassador for both Refugees International Japan and for Girl Rising. David speaks English and Japanese and is conversant in French.

David co-authored a book and coordinated a weekly radio show for NHK Educational Corporation. The book is titled “Communication Technique 60,” and focuses on navigating the challenges of a mid-career transition from a local to a global business environment. He is also a visiting lecturer at Hitotsubashi Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy.
