Jenny Mercein

As an Exec-Comm facilitator, Jenny Mercein helps business professionals of all levels improve their speaking skills and enhance their executive presence in various business settings. Jenny firmly believes that putting your attention outside of yourself and focusing on the needs of others is the key to successful interactions, in business and in life.

Jenny brings over ten years of education and professional theater experience to Exec-Comm. In addition to her facilitator role, Jenny is currently an Assistant Professor and Head of Performance at Tulane University.  She also taught communication skills to medical students at New York University Medical School and Weill- Cornell School of Medicine, with a special focus on enhancing emphathy and listening skills. As an actor, Jenny has performed Off-Broadway, in feature films, on television, and in a variety of theaters across the United States.

Jenny received her B.A. from Yale University and M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Washington. Born and raised in NY, she is slowly acclimating to the slower pace of life in the South. The daughter of a pro football player and a former competitve athlete herself, Jenny loves sports – as both a participant and a viewer. These days, her greatest joy is spending time with her toddler and husband in the city they now call home, New Orleans.
